Story 1: The Little Heart

Once upon a time there was a heart which belonged to a young ordinary girl. This heart loved the girl and would beat tirelessly every single day, making sure the child could feel alive and happy. The girl, in return, kept her little heart safe by nurturing it with simple pleasures. And so the little girl and her heart grew up together, dependent on one another to keep on going.

One day however, the heart noticed something amiss. The little girl was doing something strange; she kept thinking of someone else and the heart began to feel like it was missing something too.

"Little girl, don't forget me!" The heart cried, watching her slowly grow dependent on another. "Little girl, don't leave me behind."

The little girl slowly forgot about her own heart and filled it up with strange, new emotions. The heart struggled to remind the girl of what it was to be like, just the two of them, but then it soon gave in as well.

The heart realized - it no longer belonged to the little girl, but to that person she always kept thinking about. But it made her happy, and so the little heart did his best to remember every little thing about that other. For the sake of the little girl.

However, before long, all of a sudden an agonizing pain tore at the heart. It staggered and faltered, not understanding what was happing. Doing the only think it could think of, it quickly tried to restore the little girls happiness by bringing back the memories and feelings of the person she loved.

But that caused her to cry harder and whimper louder.

And then the heart understood.

"Oh little girl, what have you done?" the little heart sighed. "You gave me away to someone you love but you forgot all about yourself this time."
